WORLD SERIES CHAMPS: The Tyler Thunderbirds won the Deep East Texas Baseball Association Division I 12 & under WORLD SERIES on October 29th in Marshall. The team went 12-4 in the regular season and 4-1 during the WORLD SERIES, beating Carthage 6-0 in the championship game. WORLD SERIES RUNNER-UP: The Whitehouse Scrappers placed 2nd in the 11 & Under Deep East Texas Fall Baseball Select League World Series in Marshall. The Scrappers won their division with a 13-2 record to advance to the World Series. In the World Series, The Scrappers Eliminated 4 teams to advance to the final game. The Marshall Colt 45's won the championship game, 6-5. The Scrappers' final record was 17-3.
